The Story:
Atelier Calla is a Haitian woman-owned artisan workshop focused on handcrafting Haitian-sourced horn, bone, and wood products. Each piece is one of a kind due to the nature of the materials. We love our partnership with them and their elegantly designed, timeless products.
I bought this item along with a few other things for my cousin for Christmas. She has been into living more sustainably so I chose a few items from the shop and also made a donation as part of her gift. She not only loved all the items she got but was also really moved that it served a good cause as well. The shipping only took a few days and the lovely folks at 2nd story goods also went above and beyond to include a note about their brand and what they are trying to do.
